Overnight stay at Frankfurt airport?
Hi
My friend is travelling from Singapore to Kiev in Ukraine, via Frankfurt. She is travelling by Thai Airlines whcih arrives in Franfurt on 14th Febevening at 1930 hours and her flight to Kiev in Ukraine is only next day on 15th Feb at 11`00 hours.
Can she book her baggage thru to Kiev???
Is there any hotels or rooms she can stay overnight in Frankfurt airport without having to go out as she does not have a Scehengan Visa and is of Ukraine nationality???
What is the cost???
Is there a contact email and can we book on line???
Is she allowed to go ot of airport as a Ukraine national as she has no Schenegan Visa???
She needs to book her baggage thru to Kiev, otherwise she would need a Schengen visa since she would have to go thru immigration procedures before picking-up the baggage.
There are no hotels or rooms in the transit area. To get a hotel she would have to apply for a Schengen visa.
She cannot go out of the Airport without a Schengen visa.

Further edit:
Before you ask “fake questions” on Y!A you should do some before sleuthing on your statements.
1. Thai Airlines do not serve the destination Singapore – Frankfurt with arrivals on saturdays.
2. There is no aircraft arriving at 19:30 from Singapore on February 14. Arrival times are 05:15 (Quantas Airways); 05:50 (Lufthansa); 06:05 and 20:35 (Singapore Airlines)
3. There are no airplanes departing for Kiev at 11:00 on Sundays

Edit:
What “Anja H” tells is wrong. No Airport Transit Visa is required for citizens of the Ukraine to stay in the transit area of the Airport. A regular transit visa is only issued if somebody needs to transit through the Schengen area on order to reach a non-Schengen country, f.e. Turkish citizens which reside in the United Kingdom and want to drive home on holidays by car. In this case a transit visa would be issued which is valid for 5 days.
